Numbing the nerve vs soothing the joint: new study tests best shot for shoulder pain

NCT ID NCT06735027

Summary

This study aims to find which injection works better for easing shoulder arthritis pain: a common steroid shot into the joint or a nerve-blocking injection that numbs pain signals. Researchers will enroll 40 adults with shoulder arthritis to compare pain relief and shoulder function after each treatment. The goal is to provide better information for non-surgical pain management options.
