First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study compares two common treatments for people who have dislocated their shoulder for the first time: surgery (arthroscopic Bankart repair) versus physical therapy. Researchers want to see which approach leads to better shoulder function, less pain, and fewer repeat dislocations over the long term. About 200 participants aged 12 and older will be followed for up to 10 years.
