VR headsets vs pain inhalers: emergency Room's new weapons against shoulder dislocation pain
NCT ID NCT05821517
Summary
This study tests two alternative pain management methods for shoulder dislocations in emergency rooms. Researchers are comparing a pain-relief inhaler (methoxyflurane) and a virtual reality headset against standard pain medications. The goal is to see if these methods can reduce pain effectively enough to avoid stronger sedation during the shoulder relocation procedure.
