Summary
This study tested whether shortwave diathermy, a type of heat therapy, can reduce pain and improve grip strength in people with hand osteoarthritis. 36 adults with hand osteoarthritis received either real or placebo shortwave treatment. Researchers measured pain levels, hand function, and daily activity limitations to see if the therapy helps.
