Could a shorter treatment be just as safe for kids with tylenol poisoning?

NCT ID NCT07454590

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study compares two treatment lengths for children who have taken too much acetaminophen (paracetamol). One group gets the standard 21-hour treatment with N-acetylcysteine, and the other gets a shorter 12-hour version. Researchers will check liver function and side effects to see if the shorter option works just as well.
