First seen Mar 10, 2026 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a 12-hour treatment with N-Acetylcysteine works as well as the standard 21-hour treatment for children who have taken too much acetaminophen (paracetamol). The goal is to see if the shorter treatment is safer and just as effective at preventing liver damage. About 102 children will take part, and researchers will monitor liver function and side effects.
