Race against time: testing faster treatment for dangerous painkiller overdose
NCT ID NCT07454590
Summary
This study compares two different treatment schedules for children who have taken too much paracetamol (acetaminophen). Researchers want to see if a shorter 12-hour treatment works as well as the standard 21-hour treatment at preventing liver damage. The study will enroll 102 children at an Egyptian hospital and measure liver function, side effects, and recovery rates.
