Doctors test faster cancer treatment before surgery
NCT ID NCT04523818
Summary
This early-stage trial is testing whether a shorter, 2-week course of combined chemotherapy and radiation before surgery is safe and effective for patients with operable stomach cancer. The study involves 25 participants and compares this shorter approach to the standard 5-week treatment. The main goal is to see if this method can help control the cancer while potentially reducing treatment time and side effects before tumor removal surgery.
