Cancer trial cuts radiation time in half for sarcoma patients
NCT ID NCT03819985
Summary
This study is testing a shorter, more convenient 3-week radiation schedule for patients with soft tissue sarcoma in the arms, legs, or trunk who need surgery. The goal is to see if this shorter treatment works as well as the standard 5-6 week course at controlling the cancer and causes fewer wound complications after surgery. Researchers are also checking if patients have a better quality of life with the shorter treatment schedule.
