Could kids leave hospital sooner after appendix surgery?

Summary
This study is testing if a 'fast track' recovery plan is as safe as the standard approach for children who have surgery for a burst or infected appendix. The goal is to see if kids can go home from the hospital sooner without increasing their risk of complications. Researchers will compare the two approaches in about 770 children aged 2 to 17.
