Could kids spend half the time in a hip cast after surgery?

NCT ID NCT07289256

Summary

This study aims to see if children with a hip development problem (DDH) can safely wear a full-leg cast for 6 weeks instead of the usual 12 weeks after corrective surgery. It will compare the hip's stability and healing, as well as complications like skin sores, between the two groups. The goal is to reduce the burden of a long cast time on the child and family without compromising the surgery's success.
