Could a shorter diet speed recovery after colon surgery?
NCT ID NCT07083076
Summary
This study is testing whether a 10-day low-fiber diet after colon surgery works as well as the standard 6-week diet. Researchers want to see if the shorter diet helps patients return to normal bowel function faster without increasing complications. The study involves 222 adults who will follow one of the two diet plans and complete surveys about their bowel function and quality of life for three months.
