One-Week radiation could transform breast cancer recovery

Summary
This study compares two radiation approaches for women with early-stage breast cancer. It tests whether targeting just the tumor area for one week works as well as treating the whole breast at preventing cancer from returning, while also aiming for better cosmetic results. The trial involves 910 women who've had breast-conserving surgery and will receive radiation once daily for 5-7 days.
