Could one month of blood thinners be enough after heart artery treatment?
NCT ID NCT07592507
First seen May 20, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether taking two blood thinners for just 1 month after a special balloon procedure is as safe and effective as the standard 6-month course. About 1,484 adults with small heart arteries and stable chest pain will be randomly assigned to either 1 or 6 months of dual therapy. The goal is to see if the shorter option reduces bleeding risk without increasing heart problems.
