Summary

This study is testing whether a very short, one-day course of antibiotics is just as effective and safe as the standard 4-7 day course for treating a bile duct infection called cholangitis. It involves 440 patients who have already had a procedure to drain the infected bile. The main goal is to see if the shorter treatment works as well at curing the infection without it coming back, while potentially reducing side effects and hospital stays.
