First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 25, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study tests if adding a new antibiotic (contezolid) to the usual treatment can shorten therapy for a chronic lung infection called MAC. About 188 adults will either take the standard drugs for 12 months or the standard drugs plus contezolid for 6 months. Researchers will check if the infection clears faster and if quality of life improves.
