Shorter radiation for sarcomas: same results, less time?

NCT ID NCT04425967

First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study compares a shorter, 2-week radiation schedule to the standard 5-week schedule for people with soft tissue sarcomas (a type of cancer in muscles or fat). The goal is to see if the shorter course leads to similar wound healing after surgery and keeps the cancer from coming back. About 168 participants will be randomly assigned to one of the two radiation plans.
