Army tests if a special starch can fuel better runs
NCT ID NCT06054607
Summary
This study aimed to see if increasing certain healthy fatty acids in the gut, by eating a special type of starch, could improve how long people can run. Twenty-one healthy, active adults tried two different starch supplements for one week each, then ran a 5km time trial. Researchers measured run times and collected samples to understand how the body uses energy during exercise.
