First seen Nov 21, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study tests whether shockwave therapy works better than standard physical therapy for people with long-term hip pain (greater trochanteric pain syndrome). Sixty adults with hip pain for at least 3 months will be randomly assigned to receive either shockwave therapy or physical therapy (heat, TENS, ultrasound). Researchers will measure pain and hip function at 3 and 12 weeks to see which treatment offers more relief.
