First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether shockwave therapy is better than standard physical therapy for people with long-term hip pain (greater trochanteric pain syndrome). Sixty adults with hip pain for at least 3 months will be randomly assigned to receive either shockwave therapy or conventional treatments like heat and ultrasound. Researchers will measure pain and hip function at 3 and 12 weeks to see which approach works best.
