Shockwaves aim to save limbs from amputation

Summary
This study is observing a procedure that uses sound waves (shockwaves) to break up hardened blockages in leg arteries. It aims to see if this helps heal foot wounds and prevents the need for amputation in 400 people with severe, painful leg circulation problems. Researchers will track wound healing, amputation rates, and quality of life over time.
