Sound waves zapping away Post-Surgery scars?

NCT ID NCT06919042

First seen Apr 24, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests if a special sound wave therapy (called shockwave therapy) can reduce hard, scar-like tissue that sometimes forms after breast surgery. About 100 adults who had plastic surgery and now have firm tissue will get this treatment. Researchers will measure if the scar tissue shrinks and if pain or shoulder movement improves.
