Sound waves to heal heart surgery wounds?
NCT ID NCT07068776
Summary
This study is testing if applying gentle shockwaves to the leg wound after heart bypass surgery can help it heal faster and prevent infections. It will involve 120 patients who are having a specific type of vein harvesting for their bypass. Half will receive the real shockwave treatment right after surgery, while the other half will get a sham (fake) treatment for comparison.
