Sound waves to speed healing after heart surgery
NCT ID NCT07068776
Summary
This study is testing if applying gentle shockwaves to a leg wound can help it heal better after heart bypass surgery. The wound is from where a vein is taken from the leg to use in the heart. Researchers will compare real shockwave treatment to a fake (sham) treatment in 120 patients to see if it reduces infections and other healing problems.
