Shock waves target knee pain: new hope for arthritis sufferers?
NCT ID NCT07125430
Summary
This study is testing whether adding shock wave therapy to standard knee strengthening exercises helps reduce pain and improve movement better than exercises alone in people with knee osteoarthritis. It will involve 40 patients who are already in the hospital for recovery. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either just the exercise program or the exercise program plus weekly shock wave sessions for three weeks, with their pain and function tracked for several months afterward.
