Sound waves target jaw pain in new trial
NCT ID NCT05907239
Summary
This study is testing whether a non-invasive treatment called focal shock wave therapy can help reduce pain and improve jaw movement for people with chronic jaw muscle disorders. One hundred participants will receive either the real shock wave treatment or a placebo version over five weeks. Researchers will measure changes in pain, jaw function, and quality of life during treatment and for several months afterward.
