NCT ID NCT07020637

First seen Apr 17, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study compares two methods of measuring stroke volume (how much blood the heart pumps per beat) in people with shock. Researchers will use both an ultrasound of the heart (echocardiography) and a noninvasive monitor that tracks blood flow (bioreactance) in 30 critically ill adults. The goal is to see how well the two methods agree, which could help doctors choose the best way to monitor patients in the ICU.
