Doctors test two drugs to stop uncontrollable shaking after C-Sections

NCT ID NCT05952752

Summary

This study compared two medications—dexamethasone and dexmedetomidine—to see which works better at preventing or reducing shivering after a cesarean section performed with spinal anesthesia. The trial involved 382 women who had elective C-sections. Researchers measured the severity of shivering and other recovery factors to determine which drug provided better comfort after surgery.
