Vaccine shield tested for vulnerable patients
NCT ID NCT07280741
Summary
This study is testing how well the newer shingles vaccine works for adults who have autoimmune diseases like rheumatoid arthritis or lupus and are taking certain medications. Researchers will give 200 participants two doses of the vaccine and then check their immune response and track if they get shingles over the next year. The main goal is to see if the vaccine is safe and effective for this specific group of people who may have weaker immune systems.
