Summary
This study tested a head-mounted device called the Shilangqing Smart Reading Aid, which uses XR and AI to help children with low vision read better. 120 children aged 6-18 with low vision used either the smart device or traditional magnifiers for 12 weeks. The device improved reading speed, accuracy, and comfort, with fewer side effects like eye strain.
