First seen Jan 08, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study tests whether dapagliflozin, a drug already used for diabetes and other kidney diseases, can help people with lupus nephritis—a serious kidney condition caused by lupus. About 33 adults with early active lupus nephritis will receive either the drug or a placebo alongside their usual treatments. The goal is to see if adding this drug is feasible and may improve kidney outcomes.
