Summary

This study looked at whether a type 2 diabetes medicine (SGLT2 inhibitor) can slow kidney disease in teenagers with type 1 diabetes. 86 teens aged 10-18 with early kidney problems took part. Researchers measured changes in urine protein and blood sugar control after 6 months to see if the drug helped protect kidney function.
