New hope for slowing genetic kidney disease progression

Summary
This study is testing whether the medication dapagliflozin can slow the loss of kidney function in adults with autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD), a genetic condition that often leads to kidney failure. The trial will enroll 420 participants who show signs of rapid disease progression. Researchers will compare dapagliflozin against a placebo to see if it helps preserve kidney function over three years.
