Summary

This study is testing if a medication called empagliflozin, commonly used for diabetes, can help control gout. Researchers will give the drug or a placebo to 60 adults with gout for 12 weeks to see if it lowers uric acid levels and reduces inflammation. The goal is to gather evidence to see if this drug could become a new option for long-term gout management.
