Summary
This study tests a new tool called the SFM Anastomosis Device, used during weight loss surgery to connect parts of the intestine. It involves 28 adults with severe obesity (BMI 35-55) who are either having a sleeve gastrectomy with an added intestinal bypass, or have had a sleeve gastrectomy before but didn't lose enough weight. The main goal is to see if the device is safe and works as intended, and to check if it helps with weight loss and related health problems.
