First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study looked at how different warm-up programs and footwear affect movement patterns that can lead to injury in youth soccer players. 64 healthy players aged 13-17 took part. Researchers tested a shortened FIFA11+ warm-up against a standard one, and also compared female-specific cleats to unisex cleats in female players. The goal was to see if these changes could improve cutting movements and reduce injury risk.
