Timing matters: could menstrual cycles hold the key to better MS rehab?
NCT ID NCT07081594
First seen Mar 29, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study looks at how natural changes in sex hormones during the menstrual cycle impact brain-to-muscle communication, motor learning, and fatigue in women with multiple sclerosis (MS). Researchers will measure hormone levels and use non-invasive brain stimulation to understand these effects. The goal is to find the best time in the cycle for rehabilitation, potentially improving therapy outcomes. Fourteen women with MS will participate.
