Do popular drugs work the same for men and women? massive study investigates

NCT ID NCT07188545

Summary

This study uses existing health records from over 23 million people to see if two types of medications (GLP-1 agonists like Ozempic and SGLT2 inhibitors) work differently for men and women. It aims to find out if one sex gets more benefit in preventing heart attacks, strokes, kidney failure, and death. The goal is to gather knowledge to help ensure fair and effective treatment for everyone with related heart, kidney, and metabolic health risks.
