Your own blood as eye drops? study tests natural treatment for severe dry eye
NCT ID NCT07469865
Summary
This study tested whether eye drops made from a patient's own blood serum work better than standard artificial tears for severe dry eye. Forty-six patients with severe dry eye tried three different treatments for eight weeks each: two strengths of their own serum drops and standard artificial tears. Researchers measured changes in eye symptoms, dryness, and irritation to see which treatment helped most.
