Summary
This study was designed to compare two treatments for walled-off necrosis (a pocket of dead tissue) caused by severe pancreatitis. It would have randomly assigned adults to either an endoscopic procedure using a special cleaning device or surgery. The goal was to see which approach works better and has fewer complications. However, the study was withdrawn before enrolling any participants.
