New combo therapy offers hope for Hard-to-Treat breast cancer

Summary
This study tests whether adding alpelisib to continued fulvestrant can help people with a specific type of advanced breast cancer (PIK3CA-mutated, HR+ HER2-) whose disease has worsened while on fulvestrant alone. About 130 adults whose cancer progressed on fulvestrant (with or without prior CDK4/6 inhibitor) will receive the combination. The goal is to see if this approach delays further progression or death.
