NCT ID NCT07438301
First seen Mar 01, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study looks at how two common treatments for septic shock—intravenous fluids and blood pressure-raising medications (vasopressors)—change the heart's pumping ability. Researchers will use echocardiograms (heart ultrasounds) before and after treatment in 180 adults with septic shock. The goal is to understand which approach works better for restoring blood flow, helping doctors make more informed treatment decisions.
