NCT ID NCT06634069
First seen Apr 15, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study compares two types of IV fluids—sodium lactate and 3% saline—in 40 adults with septic shock. The goal is to see which fluid better supports heart function and balances acid levels in the blood. Participants will receive one of the fluids during standard care, and researchers will measure how well the heart pumps and how the body's acid-base status changes.
