Doctors probe why Life-Saving drug fails half of septic shock patients

NCT ID NCT06426407

Summary

This study aimed to understand why only some patients with severe septic shock see their blood pressure improve when given the drug vasopressin. Researchers planned to compare patients who responded to the drug with those who did not by looking at blood markers, heart ultrasound images, and tissue oxygen levels. The goal was to identify patterns that could help doctors predict which patients would benefit from this treatment.
