One shot a day as good as three for Post-Abortion infection?
NCT ID NCT02309346
Summary
This study tested if giving the antibiotic clindamycin just once a day works as well as giving it three times a day for treating a serious uterine infection called septic abortion. Researchers enrolled 202 women with this infection and randomly assigned them to receive either the once-daily or three-times-daily dose, along with another antibiotic. The main goal was to see if the simpler, once-daily schedule was just as effective at curing the infection.
