New sepsis score aims to beat standard tool in predicting patient death
NCT ID NCT07271329
Summary
This study aims to see which of two emergency room checklists is better at predicting which sepsis patients are most likely to die. Researchers will compare a newer, more detailed score (REDS) against a simpler, widely-used score (qSOFA) in 80 adult patients with suspected severe infection. The goal is to help doctors quickly identify the sickest patients who need the most urgent care.
