Can a simple blood test predict who survives sepsis?
NCT ID NCT07285499
Summary
This study looked back at the medical records of 276 adults with sepsis in the intensive care unit (ICU). Researchers wanted to see if a score calculated from three common blood tests (the CALLY index) could help predict which patients were more likely to die within 30 days or develop serious kidney problems. The study did not test any new treatments; it only analyzed past data to find patterns.
