First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study looked at whether two easy-to-use checklists (MEWS and qSOFA) and other vital signs can help predict sepsis in emergency room patients. Researchers reviewed medical records of 950 people who visited the ER between 2020 and 2022. The goal was to see if these tools, combined with artificial intelligence, could alert doctors sooner so they can start treatment quickly.
