Scientists probe immune cells in fight against deadly sepsis

NCT ID NCT04103281

Summary

This study aims to better understand a specific type of white blood cell (neutrophil) in children with sepsis, a life-threatening body-wide infection. Researchers will compare these cells from the blood and lungs of children with sepsis to those from children without it. The goal is to learn how these cells change during sepsis, which may help scientists develop future treatments to prevent them from causing damage.
