Scientists search for clues in blood of sepsis patients to protect the heart
NCT ID NCT06080282
Summary
This study aimed to understand how a severe infection (sepsis) damages the heart. Researchers analyzed blood samples from 567 critically ill adults in the ICU to look for specific molecules linked to heart problems during sepsis. The goal was to gather knowledge about these biological pathways, not to test a new treatment.
