Doctors seek clues to protect Children's hearts during severe infections

NCT ID NCT07497139

Summary

This study aims to better understand how severe infections (sepsis) can damage the heart in critically ill children. Researchers will observe 84 children aged 1 month to 18 years who have sepsis, measuring their heart function to identify early warning signs of heart injury. The goal is to help doctors recognize heart problems sooner and avoid unnecessary tests, potentially improving care for these vulnerable patients.
